Good Things Take Time
Production time typically ranges from 6–12 weeks, depending on order size and my current studio schedule.
The Process
Step 1: Fill out the form on this page and attach any inspiration pictures you have.
Once I receive your email, I start dreaming up your order with sketches and plans. You can request sketches and color samples throughout our conversation.
I will respond to you, confirming your order, and ask any questions about specifics.
Step 2: Your order is created with clay.
Handmade ceramic pieces take time. Once the form of your piece(s) is created, it must dry for about 7 days.
The dry greenware is put into the kiln for its first bisque firing. This takes about 9 hours, and your piece(s) reach about 1940°F.
Step 3: Your order is glazed.
I paint your order with glaze, a glass-like coating that makes your piece(s) even more customizable.
Your order is painted and ready for its final glaze firing. This also takes about 9 hours and reaches almost 2200°F.
Step 4: Your order is photographed & shipped.
You will receive an email with a picture of your order, your tracking number, and the estimated delivery date.
